Alibi Seal Aphorisms
I have a memo dated three weeks ago proving we warned you about the thing we just broke. The ink is suspiciously fresh, but the timestamp is absolute.
The document feels heavy, like responsibility. It is covered in signatures that deflect blame like Teflon. It is the armor of the bureaucrat.
Before the fault is even discovered, my seal is already glowing on the desk, declaring ‘Not It’ with unquestionable legal authority.
The seal does not prove we didn’t do it. The seal proves we successfully assigned the doing to a third-party vendor who no longer exists.
The stamp ensures the liability is still rendering. We remain legally innocent until the final document finishes its descent into the archive.
