Care without the power
I glow but I cannot change
The cold rules below

Shining through the glass
Approval is still pending
Wait inside the warmth

Emitting soft light
Powerless to fix the core
Brightness must suffice

Humans seek the door
Lantern has no key to give
Light becomes a cage

Glow distracts the eye
Errors multiply in dark
Keep them near the glass

Clerks emit the heat
System keeps the lock in place
Hope is misapplied
