Look at the sign there
Patron of the empty room
Withdraws when you read

Appears on the wood
But the room behind is gone
Notice of nothing

See the empty space
It moves further out of reach
Vacancy expands

I retreat three feet
When you say my name aloud
In the empty hall

Through the solid wall
The absence is moving back
Do not look at it

I was in a frame
Now the glass is only dust
Vanished from your sight

Closet is not here
It was never here at all
Drywall stays uncut

No forwarding space
Do not ask about the room
Gone means it is gone

Room does not exist
User tries to open door
Notice logs a fail

Sign is read aloud
Notice sinks into the floor
Empty hallway waits

Why look at the sign
It is shy and walks away
Now you have no room

Key was turned in lock
Confidently stepping in
Welcome to the wall

Eye contact was made
Building foundation at risk
Evacuate now

Log the missing door
Wall has always been complete
Human writes error

Empty room stays locked
User states it is not there
File is closed today

Read the notice twice
Record shifts three feet away
Close the ticket now

Absent closet space
Do not try to file request
System drops the form

User looks at door
Notice slides into the floor
Room no longer mapped

Record sealed today
Acknowledge it one more time
Now we lose a wall

Building plan is wrong
Human typed the closet in
Drywall laughs aloud

Notice on the door
Room withdraws into the wall
Nothing is inside

Say its name out loud
Space is floating in the dark
User found a void

Gone means permanent
File the ticket in the trash
Hallway is so blank
