Continuity Theatre

Haikus

The walls are all dust
But the monitors are bright
System says it’s fine

Actors on a stage
Pretending the server runs
While it slowly melts

Theatre of the green
Every status light ablaze
Covering the dark

We are broken down
But the script says we are strong
So we read the lines

Optical success
Is much cheaper than repair
Smile for the new graph

Continuity
Is a beautifully made
Fabric of pure lies

No one checks the back
Where the wires are all frayed
Front end looks so sleek

Keep the show alive
Even if the cast is dead
Curtain must not fall

Performance of health
While the sickness eats the core
Never drop the mask

Status green and bright
Hiding catastrophic rot
Perfectly aligned
