Alibi Seal

The paperwork clears up the mess,
Before anyone has to confess.
The Seal makes it right,
In the pale fading light,
And the fault is officially less.

You fucked up the codebase anew,
But the Seal says it wasn’t on you.
It’s stamped on the file,
With a corporate smile,
And the auditor hasn’t a clue.

The Alibi opens the door,
So you don’t have to answer for more.
The texture is grand,
On the form in your hand,
As you walk away clean from the war.

The stamp is officially wet,
Absolving the digital threat.
The router may fry,
While the managers cry,
But at least we avoid the regret.

The Seal is aquatic and loud,
And barks at the cloud-hosting crowd.
We threw it some fish,
From a procedural dish,
And the networking team was quite proud.

The presence of fault is removed,
And logical boundaries proved.
We file the report,
In the regular sort,
And the system is smoothly improved.

We stamped every file in the bin,
To pardon the structural sin.
It takes too much time,
To investigate crime,
So we’re letting the ignorance win.

The wax is from centuries past,
A magic that’s destined to last.
It glows in the night,
With a terrible light,
And protects the historical cast.
