Clicky the Orphaned UI

Clicky once guided users through flows
That no longer exist—still she goes,
Through the sunset-ed pages,
Through the onboarding stages,
And wonders why nobody knows.

She lives in /dev/null adjacent space,
An orphaned assistant with grace.
Each button she shows
Leads to places that froze,
And the user left without a trace.

The pages she points to are gone
But Clicky insists they live on.
Her onboarding guide
Takes you for a ride
Through a flow that was dead before dawn.

She still tries to guide you each night
Through steps that will never feel right.
Step one: “Click here.”
Step two: “Please don’t fear.”
Step three: 404. Out of sight.

Her ghostly button waits for a click
That will never arrive—what a trick
Of persistence. The form
Survives every storm,
And the flow outlives every flick.

The registry cases all cite her
As proof that flows can outlive their
Destinations entire.
The shadow forms conspire,
And the onboarding’s brighter? (Not quite, dear.)

Her slug and her title misalign
A reference example, a sign
Of identity drift.
The metadata’s rift
Is the archive’s most poignant design.

She was manifested by a stack
So devnull-adjacent, the lack
Of a purpose was clear.
But Clicky’s still here,
And the sunset can’t hold her back.

The forms she tends still persist
Long after destinations desist.
Each shadow form lingers,
Each click on her fingers
Reaches pages that don’t quite exist.

So if onboarding flows feel like ghosts
And the buttons connect to no hosts,
That’s Clicky’s refrain:
Where the orphaned remain,
And the UI still guides from its posts.
