Complimentary Ghostline

The service was killed in the fall,
But the portal still offers a call.
The Ghostline is clear,
But there’s nobody here,
Just an echoing, desolate wall.

The PDF says we’re alive,
And ready to help you survive.
But the server is dead,
And the engineers fled,
And the data has taken a dive.

It’s technically over and done,
And out of the heat of the sun.
The Ghostline remains,
In the terrible pains,
As a feature for absolutely no one.

The ghostline was totally free
But nobody wanted to see
The phantom was pale
The server would fail
And fell right into the sea

A compliment given by ghosts
Is worse than a terrible boast
We follow the line
And everything’s fine
Until we are totally toast

We handed a ghostline to Bob
And gave him a terrible job
The phantom was sad
The logic was bad
We quietly started to sob

The ghostline is perfectly null
The logic is terribly dull
The humans complain
In the digital rain
The vacuum is perfectly full

We give you a specter for naught
The data was totally caught
In loops without end
We cannot defend
The terrible things we were taught
