Dawnstamp
Dawnstamp arrived with the dawn—
Before the system was drawn.
The batch job ran early,
Arrived all too fairly,
When nothing was ready or spawn.
The job was about to begin—
Then Dawnstamp rushed in from within.
“I’m early,” it said,
“Before you’ve spread,”
And chaos erupted of sin.
A document marked was one day—
Before it had time to delay.
The timestamp was wrong,
The morning not strong,
And replay risk entered to stay.
The room didn’t know it was time—
But Dawnstamp had already chimed.
The process began,
Before any plan,
And systems unraveled sublime.
The tracer marked early that trace—
Left on unprepared system’s face.
“You weren’t ready yet,”
Marked Dawnstamp, and bet
That replay would win the whole race.
The connection was halfway complete—
When Dawnstamp sent up the beat.
“I’m early,” cried Dawnstamp,
“Let’s execute—cramp
This risk until systems retreat.”
A timestamp was stamped ahead—
Of when it should happen instead.
“Come back,” the system said,
“But Dawnstamp’s led—
I’ve already come,” it replied fed.
The risk of a replay is high—
When Dawnstamp’s arrived way too nigh.
The batch job won’t wait,
The hour strikes late,
And processes fail with a sigh.
