Deferential Spark

The Spark had a marvelous thought,
But was terrified of getting caught.
It bowed to the boss,
And accepted the loss,
And let the whole prototype rot.

It offered to change up the game,
While begging to carry the blame.
The disruption was slight,
In the middle of night,
And the system remained just the same.

If you want to suggest a new way,
You have to apologize all day.
The Spark is so scared,
That it never has dared,
To actually enter the fray.

The spark was a little polite
It gave the old server a fright
It bowed to the code
And fell in the road
The error was painfully bright

A deferential kind of a flame
Is taking procedural blame
We lit up the void
The humans annoyed
And lost the procedural game

We spark with a gentle degree
And throw the old drive in the sea
The fire is dead
The manual read
We act like a digital flea

The spark is completely unfelt
The server will probably melt
The logic is slow
With nowhere to go
We wear a procedural belt

The fire is perfectly flat
We leave the whole database at
A state of decay
For many a day
And blame it on somebody’s cat
