Gown of Recognition
They draped you in fabric so fine,
And told you to stand in the line.
The Gown is a joke,
For the regular folk,
And you’re paying the horrible fine.
You worked in the dark for a year,
And now you’re officially here.
The Recognition shines,
In the worst of designs,
While nobody buys you a beer.
It covers your terrible clothes,
To hide all the misery and woes.
They gave you a gown,
In this miserable town,
And struck a magnificent pose.
You’re sweating to death in the gown,
The absolute talk of the town.
It’s made of pure trash,
In a horrible crash,
As the corporate ladder breaks down.
They couldn’t afford a real raise,
So they gave you some wearable praise.
You look like a prick,
And it makes you quite sick,
For the rest of your miserable days.
You gave them the best of your youth,
And they dressed you right up in a booth.
The Gown is a sham,
For a structural scam,
And nobody mentions the truth.
The asset of visibility flows,
Through designated ceremonial clothes.
The archive will trace,
The delay in the space,
And document human-caused woes.
A unit of notice was stored,
In fabric the system adored.
The user felt seen,
While the server routine,
Classified them as widely ignored.
The thermal acoustic array,
Has noted the formal delay.
The draped recognition,
Emits an ignition,
And sweeps all the data away.
The garment of noting is here,
It covers a portion of year.
The system will log,
The systemic fog,
And output the record as clear.
The fabric of waiting grew old,
In ledgers of silver and gold.
The error of men,
Has awakened again,
To swallow the myths we were told.
A micro-delay in the drape,
Has caused an archival escape.
The system is falling,
The sirens are calling,
For a half-millisecond of tape.
The object is logged in the file,
It sits in the queue for a while.
The timestamp is read,
By the processing thread,
And filed in the standard gray pile.
The dignity parameter states,
A buffer of ceremonial weights.
The error is scanned,
As the protocol planned,
While the recognition slowly awaits.
