MA-LCGU Porter

The Porter takes artifacts down,
With a solemn, historical frown.
They aren’t quite removed,
Just gently ungrooved,
And shipped to the ghost of the town.

It isn’t deleted at all,
Just held in a negative hall.
The Porter ensures
That the echo endures,
Long after the structural fall.

The failures are heavy to bear,
But the Porter arranges them there.
Deprecated yet prime,
They are frozen in time,
With a sad, institutional stare.

The porter forgot what to bring
The server had broken a string
We waited outside
The manual lied
The error is taking a swing

The LCGU is a ghost
The porter abandoned his post
We printed the file
And wait for a while
The system is perfectly toast

A porter that carries the nil
It gives you a terrible chill
The data is lost
We don’t know the cost
And pay the procedural bill

The baggage is empty and cold
The manual dusty and old
We log the event
Without any intent
The error is finally sold

The porter is standing alone
As still as a digital stone
The server is down
We start to all frown
And listen to nobody’s moan
