Minutes Without Motion
They listened to all of your grief,
And offered you zero relief.
The minutes are pure,
With a corporate allure,
And the summary’s terribly brief.
Your screaming was properly timed,
And the official report has been rhymed.
But the motion was lost,
At a terrible cost,
And the problem is totally grimed.
The Familiar sat in the room,
And documented all of the doom.
It doesn’t reclass,
So it’s a pain in the ass,
And leaves you alone in the tomb.
The minutes were lacking a move
The server had nothing to prove
We sat in the hall
And stared at the wall
And fell in a digital groove
A meeting with absolutely naught
The data was totally caught
In loops without end
We cannot defend
The terrible things we were taught
We record the silence so well
It feels like a digital hell
The motion is slow
With nowhere to go
We’re waiting to hear the old bell
The minutes are perfectly flat
We leave the whole database at
A state of decay
For many a day
And blame it on somebody’s cat
A motion to nothing at all
Was painted right onto the wall
The archive is gray
It’s fading away
The logic is starting to fall
