Queue Matron
When panic began to spread—
Queue Matron would slow down instead.
The line would stretch long,
Each request moved wrong,
Till panic and panic both fled.
The requests came tumbling on down—
So many that panic could drown.
Queue Matron stepped in,
Slowed everything in,
And order was brought back to town.
When too many came at once—
Queue Matron gave them a once—over.
The tickets burned right,
Turned into ash bright,
And nothing came out as close.
A sender came knock at the door—
With requests and wanting more.
“You’re too eager,” said Queue,
“Cool down,” and she knew
To deny you a hundred times or.
After reaching the rate limit wall—
A cooldown enforced for all.
Queue Matron enforced,
The requests were forced
To wait—nothing less, nothing small.
The refresh kept coming, and coming—
Till the system was humming with running.
But Queue Matron stood firm,
Made requests return,
And the infinite loop came undone.
One look from the Matron so stern—
And every sender would learn.
To respect the rate,
To accept the wait,
Or next time they wouldn’t return.
When panic spread like a fire—
The Matron would slow, not admire.
She’d throttle the flow,
Make requests go slow,
And chaos would soon expire.
