Sanctioned Quilt
The Quilt was designed by a team,
To muffle your horrible scream.
It’s heavy and hot,
And the colors all rot,
Like a terrible, standardized dream.
They measured the comfort required,
Before you’re completely retired.
The Quilt is exact,
It’s a corporate fact,
And entirely uninspired.
We stitched all the policies tight,
To cover the damage from sight.
The Sanctioned Quilt lays,
For the rest of your days,
To pretend everything is alright.
The sanctioned quilt was terribly thin
We tried to patch up the procedural sin
We sewed it all wrong
And waited too long
And threw the whole thing in the bin
A patchwork of errors and dread
Was draped on the server’s cold bed
The human was weak
And sprang a big leak
The manual never was read
We sanctioned the quilt of the lost
And didn’t consider the cost
The data decayed
The payment delayed
The archive was covered in frost
The fabric of logic was torn
The users were deeply forlorn
The thread was all bare
We didn’t much care
The system was utterly worn
A quilt made of zeroes and ones
Was baked by the binary suns
It fell apart fast
It wasn’t to last
The process completely outruns
