Seal of Maybe Enough

The system is broken and flawed,
But the auditors wanted to nod.
They gave it a stamp,
Like a terrible cramp,
And left all the failures unthawed.

It isn’t officially right,
But they stamped it and called it a night.
The Maybe Enough,
Is a terrible bluff,
To cover the sickening blight.

The grade is a D-minus minus,
But the management wanted to blind us.
The Seal was applied,
With a corporate pride,
To keep the disaster behind us.

The seal of the maybe was fine
It held back the end of the line
We said it’s okay
And walked far away
While watching the servers decline

The maybe is perfectly flat
We leave the whole database at
A state of decay
For many a day
And blame it on somebody’s cat

Enough is a variable string
It doesn’t mean any old thing
The seal is quite cracked
The data is hacked
The terminal ceases to ping

We certified maybe as true
And painted the dashboard all blue
The error is vast
The future is past
We don’t have a singular clue

The seal of enough is a void
The humans are deeply annoyed
The flat files are still
The servers are chill
The meaning is totally destroyed
