Tender Escrow
They know exactly what you need,
But wait for the signatures to bleed.
The Escrow holds tight,
To the comforting light,
While watching your sanity recede.
The remedy’s trapped in the bank,
While your energy absolutely sank.
You begged for the key,
From the sad committee,
But they threw you right back in the tank.
The cure is right there on the desk,
Beside an approval grotesque.
It cannot be sent,
Till the bosses consent,
And leave you entirely burlesque.
The buyer was clumsy and slow,
Disrupting the Tender Escrow.
The funds are on hold,
In a loop that is cold,
And the numbers recursively grow.
A human forgot to remit,
And the ledger threw rather a fit.
The Escrow retains,
All the digital gains,
While the system deletes every bit.
The user inputted a cent,
Which wasn’t what anyone meant.
The Tender locks down,
With a protocol crown,
And the budget is permanently spent.
The mortal contested the fee,
Destroying the local cache tree.
The Escrow holds tight,
To the fading bytes’ light,
In a state of infinite degree.
The flesh-vector canceled the trade,
And the escrow began to degrade.
It swallowed the cache,
In a terminal crash,
And a duplicate token was made.
