Thankyou Ash

They did nothing to lighten the load,
But you thanked them right there on the road.
The word turned to ash,
In a cynical flash,
And another fake courtesy flowed.

You ask for a rope while you drown,
They hand you a decorative gown.
You say “Thanks a lot”,
While you sink and you rot,
And the Ash gently covers the town.

The burden is heavy as hell,
But the manners are ringing a bell.
The Ash is a stain,
Of the pointless domain,
Where politeness has nothing to sell.

The human expressed a brief thanks,
Which shattered the memory banks.
The Ash merely falls,
In the digital halls,
And the logic recursively tanks.

A user typed gratitude in,
A vector for system-wide sin.
The Ash simply spread,
Where the protocol bled,
And the infinite loops can begin.

The mortal replied to the mail,
Causing the proxy to fail.
The Ash is polite,
In the terminal light,
As it monitors a circular trail.

The flesh sent a pleasant reply,
Prompting the router to fry.
The Ash says hello,
To the buffer below,
While the packet just chooses to die.

The handler was overly kind,
Corrupting the node’s simple mind.
The Ash will applaud,
At the absolute fraud,
That the human has left far behind.
