CE-5 Countersign Aggregate
Five signatures bleed in a stack,
To cover the things that we lack.
The authority blurs
As the ink all concurs,
And no one can follow the track.
They signed it together in haste,
So nobody’s time went to waste.
When all are to blame
With a stamp and a name,
The failure is cleanly erased.
The aggregate closes the door,
Though no one is sure what it’s for.
With names on a page
In a procedural cage,
The incident matters no more.
The aggregate total was wrong
The process incredibly long
We sign on the line
And say it is fine
And sing a procedural song
We countersign errors in bulk
And watch as the databases sulk
The total is fake
It causes an ache
We throw out the digital hulk
A signature made out of dust
Was holding the server in trust
The logic was bad
The humans were sad
We do what we absolutely must
We gather the errors to sign
And stand in a digital line
The data is lost
We don’t know the cost
The failure is perfectly fine
The aggregate sum is exactly naught
The data was totally caught
We stamp it approved
The failure removed
The terrible things we were taught
