BHDSS — British Helpdesk Subsystem
The system is down for the day,
But the interface asks you to stay.
It logs the request,
As a structural test,
And files all your queries away.
A user mistyped on the screen,
Creating a microscopic scene.
The BHDSS wept,
While the actual logs slept,
And dispatched a disaster routine.
The database suffered a tear,
But the helpdesk had nothing to share.
It printed a note,
With a generalized quote,
And left it suspended in air.
The mainframe was actively burning,
Which the subsystem noted as “learning.”
It sent a polite,
Little toast in the night,
To state that the data was churning.
The error was caught in a loop,
Which prompted the helpdesk to droop.
It sent a reply,
With a digitized sigh,
And dumped the whole file in the soup.
A legend remains in the queue,
Of a sorry so ancient and blue.
It drifts through the cache,
Like a ghost in the trash,
Politely regretting the view.
The printer was out of supply,
So the BHDSS started to cry.
It sent a bouquet,
To a damaged array,
And told a local router goodbye.
The document stepped from its place,
To float in the digital space.
The prompt was deployed,
To paper the void,
And save the department’s face.
