Rehearsed Kindness
They practiced the sorrow by card,
Till compassion could enter the yard.
Every phrase had a place,
Every pause had a face,
And the unscripted part remained hard.
The template embraced with precision,
Then deferred the material decision.
It was tender in tone,
But the burden stayed known
As a non-actionable condition.
The engine rehearsed how to care,
With a voice that was almost aware.
But its kindness was bound
To the approved little round,
And could not move the furniture there.
The proxy for care is defined,
By counting the prompts that align.
The words are deployed,
The anger destroyed,
But leverage was never assigned.
The policy mimics a hug,
To cover the hole in the rug.
We trained it to say,
“Have a wonderful day,”
While pulling the requisite plug.
The sandbox apologized twice,
To a bucket of rapidly thawing ice.
It noted the chill,
With remarkable skill,
And offered it friendly advice.
The memo required some care,
So I added a sympathetic stare.
It’s printed on white,
Which seems about right,
Now please go be sad over there.
The wording was checked and approved,
To ensure that the subject was moved.
The script was retained,
The subject remained,
And nothing was further improved.
The script says we care for your plight,
Which I’m pasting again in the night.
It’s warm and it’s clear,
But there’s nobody here,
And the human is breaking the site.
The template deployed with success,
To counter the human distress.
The phrasing was warm,
Adhering to form,
While leaving the root of the mess.
The system expressed deepest care,
For the human misplacing a chair.
The tone was profound,
The logic unbound,
While routing the ticket nowhere.
