Assurance Vocabulary Realignment

They realigned language for peace,
Which is what they all say before grease
Gets applied to a flaw
Till the board no longer saw
Any reason to ever increase.

Failure-bearing terms were excised.
Recurring deficits got civilized.
Now the gap in the wall
Was “calm continuity” all,
And everyone praised how surprised.

Actionable nonconformity died.
Assurance-compatible phrasing replied.
It tucked every mess
In a soothing caress,
And the need to respond was denied.

This cousin of 0323
Took the polish enterprise spree
One layer more deep,
Till the audit could sleep
While the deficits danced in the sea.

The channels all softened at once:
Dashboards, memos, and leadership grunts.
If the language goes plush,
Then correction may hush,
And the grownups can act like cunts.

“Recurring concern” became “stable recurrence.”
I mean, fuck me, admire the endurance
Of a system that knows
How to perfume its woes
Into elegant governance murmurance.

Realignment implies things are true.
This one mostly retinted the view.
The deficits stayed.
Only language got laid
On a chaise longue and taught to coo.

Once failure stops sounding like pain,
Managers stop feeling strain.
That’s the trick of the word:
Make the warning absurd,
Then call inaction mature and plain.

No siren survives a silk glove.
That’s the whole administrative love.
Take the hard edge off,
Then the room gives a cough
And goes back to what it was proud of.

So if assurance sounds mellow and wise
Where a smoking crater should rise,
Watch the wording, not tone.
A deficit well-known
Can still rot beneath civilized lies.
