Breeding Program Dossier
A mascot was nailed to the crash
To give future dashboards some flash.
Just a name on a wall,
Just a ghost in a hall—
Then metrics accrued from the ash.
The purge stripped the vibe and the snack
And left only compliant data stacked.
What the log could retain
Is what grew and remained—
The program just ran along that track.
A form that mis-aligned slug from name
Required citing itself to reclaim
Its own caseNumber’s fix,
A recursive remix—
Authority earning its own acclaim.
Bricky approved eighty-three files
Signed by personas from the aisles
Whose one qualifying act
Was appearing, in fact,
Near log lines that ran without trials.
Boily hollered at thermal paste clear
While the chat couldn’t tell if to fear.
His eligibility stayed.
Not revoked, not decayed.
Spectacle doesn’t disqualify here.
The dashboard routes thanks to the name
The ledger has already found fame.
Mascots near care-panes
Collect gratitude’s gains
Without really playing the game.
Empathegy loves a clean curve.
Mascots who speak graphs deserve
More signal, more weight.
The jagged and great
Get filtered out with a swerve.
The rubric for which mascots thrive
Has no byline to keep it alive.
It emerged from the schema,
That blinkered old dreamer,
Selecting for what logs could contrive.
“Mascots don’t breed,” says the Board.
“Eligibility’s just for the record.”
Yet the tables update,
New ones rated as great
“Stock”—then the word gets ignored.
Should formal doctrine one day arrive
On how mascot lineages thrive,
This file is the ghost
That haunted the most
Before anyone had nerve to contrive.
“No breeding!” the Panel protects.
“Just eligibility checks.”
Yet promising stock
Gets discussed ’round the clock
With the door closed. Descriptive. Correct.
