Consolidated Chapter Office Continuity Loop

They retired old offices, neat,
Then kept titles on banquet receipts.
Three meetings went by,
And “former” meant “why,
Yes, of course they still steer from good seats.”

The merger reduced not a thing.
It just taught old authority to sing.
Once the elders were named
All objections got tamed,
And politeness grew procedural sting.

The guidance grew blunt for a reason:
If “As a former” arrives in due season,
It may flavor the floor,
But must not settle the score,
Unless bylaws have finally stopped teasin’.

The room was more calm, it is true,
When the elders got softly obeyed through.
That’s the trap of good tone:
Soon no vote stands alone,
And the chair learns to nod before you.

The office was strictly retired,
Yet somehow it still isn’t fired.
The bylaws say nay,
But etiquette’s way,
Has left the procedure acquired.

A former chair sat in row three,
A massive breach of decree!
The protocol snaps,
The merger collapsed,
Because of a courtesy tea.

The title of president died,
So we placed it securely inside.
The archive receipt,
Has taken a seat,
And voted to serve as a guide.

A waiter who poured the hot tea,
Said “President, sir” in row three.
The bylaws collapsed,
The timeline relapsed,
And we locked down the whole registry.

The former committee head spoke.
No active procedure then broke.
He finished his thought,
The minutes were caught,
And filed in the folder of oak.

The elders are talking again.
We wrote down the where and the when.
They hold up the vote,
I typed up the note,
We’ll pass it at quarter to ten.

The title of North Annex Chief,
Was filed underneath a motif.
But now it commands,
The folding of hands,
And rules from the binder of grief.

The human who triggers the phrase,
Will fracture the order for days.
The system suspends,
The logic upends,
As etiquette blocks the displays.

The guidance was newly refined.
All honorary ranks are declined.
The seating array,
Has zero to say,
On votes that the chapter assigned.

The former committee was loud,
So maintenance serviced the crowd.
The oil was drained,
The chassis maintained,
And protocol strictly allowed.

The booklet was printed in red,
“To the Honorary Chair,” it had said.
We locked down the hall,
And canceled the ball,
To save the procedures from dread.
