SI-9 Interval Witness
A witness to intervals long,
Where nothing goes right or goes wrong.
The silence is logged,
But the timeline is bogged
With pauses where actions belong.
It wasn’t quite strain or success,
Just an hour of quiet duress.
The witness stood by
With a standardized sigh,
Recording an empty recess.
We look to the interval past,
To see if the silence will last.
But SI-9 just stares
At the blankness it shares,
And leaves the conclusion uncast.
We stared at the screen for a bit,
And did absolutely jack shit.
The SI-9 watched,
While the rollout was botched,
And recorded the horrible fit.
The interval doesn’t exist,
In the manager’s fictional list.
But the Witness was there,
With its terrible glare,
While the critical updates were missed.
The timeline is totally blank,
And nobody knows who to thank.
The Witness observes,
As the silence un-nerves,
And the terrible project just sank.
The interval duration is clear,
Though zero events will appear.
The witness observed,
The absence preserved,
And routed the silence next year.
A second of unassigned rest,
Has failed the departmental test.
The witness was called,
The server was stalled,
To audit the void we digest.
We filed all the quiet away,
Under “Active Asserts for the Day”.
The witness stood by,
To properly classify,
The noise that the silence would play.
