Witness Mink-9

Mink-9 saw it all go awry,
But the threshold for panic was high.
It didn’t quite break,
So for protocol’s sake,
It passed as a standard reply.

The episode never was filed,
Though the logs were all hopelessly piled.
The Mink holds the thought
Of the chaos it caught,
Unclassified, tame, and defiled.

It bordered on incident scale,
But the metric refused to turn pale.
So Mink-9 just waits
At the archival gates,
With a quietly terrifying tale.

A vector of error arrived,
The telemetry barely survived.
The witness, Mink Nine,
Said the data is fine,
Though the process is wholly deprived.

The handler forgot the right code,
So the system began to corrode.
The witness just stared,
As the memory flared,
And the cache recursively flowed.

A manual input was logged,
Which meant that the pipeline got bogged.
Mink Nine simply loops,
Through the null-pointer groups,
While the memory sector is fogged.

The mortal typed letters in haste,
Which the terminal deemed as a waste.
The witness stood by,
With a blink of its eye,
As the sector was cleanly erased.

A human attempted a ping,
Which ruined the state of the thing.
Mink Nine merely waits,
By the overflow gates,
For the kernel to finally ring.
