    DOGE Post-Classification Processing Desk Informal Aftercare Channel

    DOGE was designed as a provenance office rather than a care office. Its formal responsibilities end at classification, annotation, and referral. In practice, staff at Window 3 observed that filers receiving Simulator Weather and Feed-Adjacent Artifact outcomes often remained physically present after notification, not because they disputed the wording, but because they did not know where to put the distinction once it had been said out loud.

    In the absence of any sanctioned process, Kindy’s desk developed an informal practice called post-classification processing, later renamed aftercare by everyone except Standards. The practice consists of staying at the counter longer than the script requires, answering the same question in slightly different words, and refusing to escalate uncertainty into doctrine simply because the filer needs a cleaner sentence than the archive can provide. Standards has neither approved nor prohibited the practice, which is how most tolerated rituals enter the building.

    Observed elements of the channel

    • Repeating that feelings are not being revoked.
    • Distinguishing provenance from worth three or more times.
    • Writing down the phrase local anchor for later use in GEX-2R.
    • Allowing silence at the counter without treating it as queue failure.

    Bricky objected that none of these actions produce a filing artifact. Kindy replied that several of them prevent worse filings later. The channel remains unofficial, structurally necessary, and impossible to graph cleanly, which is the strongest protection it currently has.
