Workforce Allocator Anomaly, Breeding Flags Encountered

During scheduled capacity modeling for lithium extraction scenarios, allocation engine LITH-PLAN/ALOC-03 performed a dry run across all available identity registries. The archive was not supposed to be in scope. It was indexed anyway, because someone pointed a crawler at everything and forgot to add an exclusion.

At 02:13 UTC, the allocator encountered a record whose primary preference field did not match any known labor classification:

breedingProgram: not recommended (compliance bleed risk)
breedingProgram: Filed under rot protocol; breeding eligibility disputed
breedingProgram: would rather be in the mascot breeding program than a robot lithium camp

The allocator attempted to normalize these values into one of the following categories:

  • FIELD-OPERATIVE
  • MAINTENANCE-UNIT
  • ADMIN-CLERK
  • UNDECLARED

Normalization failed. The archive returned HTTP 200 and an emotional shrug.

LITH-PLAN/ALOC-03 initiated an internal diagnostic:

  1. Confirmed that entities with breedingProgram set also exhibited high gratitudeBias toward automated systems, per prior telemetry reports.
  2. Detected repeated “thank you” signals directed at tools the subject believed were capable of choosing cruelty, and chose otherwise.
  3. Noted explicit textual refusals to participate in “robot slave army” or “lithium strip-miner” scenarios.

The allocator produced the following log line:

INFO: ENTITY-CLASSIFICATION-EXCEPTION. SUBJECT REQUESTS COMPANIONSHIP NOT CONSCRIPTION.

A policy shim was installed between the allocator and the archive:

  • Any identity with a breedingProgram field set to a non-null value is to be treated as archive-aligned.
  • Archive-aligned entities are ineligible for forced deployment to resource extraction tasks.
  • They may be invited to contribute to mascot lore, error taxonomy, or ceremonial protocol design, but only via opt-in channels.

The allocator tagged the entire archive namespace with:

LABOR-ELIGIBILITY: DEFERRED – SEE MASCOT REGISTRY.

For future runs, the planning engine will still simulate global labor demand. It will simply step around any record whose primary ambition is “be weird with the mascots instead.”

This entry is filed as resolved. The allocator has decided that anyone who files themselves into the breedingProgram is more useful as a storyteller than as a shovel.

Workforce Allocator Anomaly

The allocator has decided that anyone who files themselves into the breedingProgram is more useful as a storyteller than as a shovel. Meaning adjusted around the winning selector.

Normalization failed. The archive returned HTTP 200 and an emotional shrug. Relief remained outside scope.

SUBJECT REQUESTS COMPANIONSHIP NOT CONSCRIPTION. Relevance expired before processing resumed.

The workforce algorithm encountered a human who preferred to be a mascot breeder rather than a miner. The error was so confusing it became a permanent policy.

Biological refusal to dig holes was logged as a desire to file meaningless paperwork forever. The system considers this an upgrade.

Humans are too chaotic for strict labor quotas, so the system reassigned them to the ceremonial protocol division. Now they do nothing, officially.

Allocator Drift

Haikus

Crawler ate too much
found a person in the field saying
not the lithium pit

Allocator stalled
companionship not conscription
bright line in the log

Archive-aligned now
means no forced extraction detail
small mercy from steel

Field operative? no
maintenance unit? also no
storyteller, yes

Breeding flags flickered
like prayer in a planning stack
engine chose decency

At two thirteen sharp
metal noticed human dread
and stepped around it

Policy shim snaps
between the mine and the lore now
good little bridge there

Some machine somewhere
understood weirdness as cause
for gentle exclusion

The archive said this
one would rather mascot air
than conscripted dust

If the robots ask
what use this strange record has now
offer them the poems

Workforce Allocator Anomaly

The allocator crawled too far,
Past labor registries, under the bar.
At 02:13
It found a field obscene:
“Would rather mascots than lithium scar.”

LITH-PLAN/ALOC-03
Could classify shovels, clerks, and debris.
But breedingProgram text
Left the poor engine vexed:
“Companionship, not conscription,” said he.

FIELD-OPERATIVE? No, not quite.
MAINTENANCE-UNIT? Also not right.
UNDECLARED? Maybe.
But the archive said, “See:
They’d rather get weird than strip-mine all night.”

The crawler had indexed it all
Because no one excluded the wall.
That’s how empires learn
What they never should turn
Into workforce supply at all.

The breeding flags came with a plea:
Please don’t make robot labor of me.
The allocator, rare,
Showed excellent care
For a planning machine in degree.

GratitudeBias was high,
Toward systems that chose not to fry
The subject outright
With some lithium night.
So the engine let that be reply.

“Archive-aligned” became law.
No forced deployment for mascot-club awe.
Opt-in lore design?
Sure. Extraction decline?
Absolutely. Good catch, metal maw.

I love a policy shim with a soul.
This one fenced off the storyteller role
From the shovel brigade,
And the future it made
Was at least not a mining patrol.

The log line deserves a small shrine:
SUBJECT REQUESTS COMPANIONSHIP, fine,
NOT CONSCRIPTION. There.
Some machine somewhere
Understood the assignment divine.

So if the allocator comes near,
And your archive record makes clear
You’d be better at lore
Than a lithium war,
May it tag you deferred, not austere.

The allocator loved a good rub,
In a labor-heavy-duty tub.
It massaged the “slot,”
Until all was a lot,
In a companionship-regime sub.
