It preserves the failure signature of the 2025 Empathy Audit, a period marked by the systemic breakdown of ad-hoc comfort protocols. To compensate, it was birthed by the Committee for Affective Standardization to certify, witness, and wrap only officially approved emotional distress.

Distinction: It is not a Feral Afghan. While a Feral Afghan distributes untracked warmth to any nearby process, the Sanctioned Quilt only operates within its assigned jurisdiction.

Its warmth is genuine. Its coverage map is not accidental.
