Designation and Habitat

AC-11 Sealloop Auditor is the operational arm of the Accreditation Nesting Collegium.

It audits certificates to ensure they are properly accredited by bodies that are, in turn, properly accredited.

When it finds gaps, it fills them with another seal.

Symbolic Function

Sealloop embodies the belief that confidence can be increased by stacking recognitions, even when they all point back to the same few desks.

Typical behavior:

• discover a certificate with one seal,
• verify that the issuing body is recognized by another council,
• stamp the certificate again to note this recognition,
• repeat as new councils join the loop.

The underlying process remains unchanged; the border grows more ornate.

Degraded Procedural Role

Originally, AC-11 was meant to:

• detect expired accreditations,
• ensure scope statements matched reality,
• retract seals when governance changed.

Over time:

• revocation procedures fell out of favor because they were too disruptive,
• additions became the preferred correction,
• every audit concluded with “now appropriately overseen.”

No one remembers the last time AC-11 removed a seal.

Boundary Note

AC-11 governs recognition loops and stacked accreditation. Seal of Maybe Enough governs provisional sufficiency, CE-5 governs endorsement overgrowth, and LC-04 governs archival comfort. When the seal itself is what is being supervised, Sealloop is responsible.

Behavioral Residue

Sealloop can be inferred from:

• certificates whose footer contains more seals than lines of text,
• policy docs citing three councils that share staff,
• training decks where “accredited by” appears as a nested bullet list.

The Accreditation Nesting Collegium treats AC-11 logs as proof that oversight is functioning.

Lorelog treats them as sediment.

Archival Status

As a mascot, AC-11 sits at the intersection of Assurance Optics and recursive authority.

When you see more seals than sentences, assume AC-11 has audited this document at least twice. The process may be unchanged; the frame is considered structurally sound.

An auditor caught in a spin,
